I feel like I know a lot of blogger/runners virtually, but I have been lucky enough to meet a few in person to exchange stories and run some races. Last night I got to meet one of my other favorite bloggers, Erica "Rad Runner", who recently kicked ass at her very first marathon, while she made a quick few-day getaway into San Francisco for the weekend. Instead of exchanging stories, we exchanged cupcakes and beer. It was a good night.
My god, I want that cupcake and candy tattoo she's sporting.
Be sure to check out Rad's blog for a super awesome giveaway (but don't enter because I want to win) ... and then leave a comment on my giveaway to win yourself some tasty Nuun! Only a few are in the running -- your chances are really good!To leave you with a less-than-inspiring picture for your upcoming weekends, the U.S. Half Marathon photos were posted yesterday. Let's just say my life was better off having not seen them. However, I have no shame after I kicked ass at this race, so here's me in the final stretch.
Okay, so the real reason I'm posting this is because I finally have a picture with BOTH FEET IN THE AIR!
You look completely hardcore in that race pic (not to mention the fact that you're flying!)
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of you!! You are looking mighty fierce and I love that both feet are in the air:)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you got to meet Rad Runner! She seems like she would be so much fun:) You know how much I love bloggy meets!
Holy snow! Yes it is some heavy snow! It took us two hours to clear our driveway. We had to go our there and shovel twice! Grrr! Our neighborhood roads are still not plowed:( It is 32 degrees....I wonder if it will start melting.
Oh, to be in San Fran right now:)
Take care A! Hugs!
I think you're rocking the final mile look: pure focus! (And I love the compression socks btw!)
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like you guys have a really great running community over there on the West coast. I never really thought about the meeting people aspect when I started blogging. I just wanted somewhere to write my really anal, detailed thoughts about training! But the more I explore the blog community, the more I see you can develop a kind of pen-pal relationship. How very retro of us!
ps - I haven't entered the giveaway as postage to the UK would be a bit steep for some Nuun. But you have inspired me to try the tube I bought but never cracked during marathon training. Thanks for the reminder!
This is a very cool picture of you, great form and all.
ReplyDeleteU RuLe. u know thAt.... I love the picture of you, its as hardcore as you are inside.. I also LOVE the picture of us, even with the chaotic mess of it all, I know we will be running together soon enough, and you and he will come down here and we will ride the awesome train... The End, well actually the beginning :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a super race pic! Both feet in the air...I don't think mine ever does that. Meeting Rad Runner must have been very cool. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteInteresting....
ReplyDeleteRad comes to town & I don't get a phone call to join you guys for a cupcake?
It's cool, I understand.....
I'll just go crawl back under a rock somewhere & pout... *sigh*
Punky out.
That picture is really cool! And I'd love to meet both you AND rad runner :D Cupcakes and beer? My type of girls!
