Happy Pi Day, my fine fellow bloggers!
I have a code for the Rock 'n' Roll Country Music Nashville Marathon & 1/2 Marathon UP FOR GRABS*! The winner gets a free entry for the distance of their choice (be it the half or the full marathon). Race date is April 30th, 2011, and it's going to be one hell of a party!
I know some people don't like the Rock 'n' Roll events, and other people LOVE them. While I have never done one, I have done events of an extremely similar nature -- and all I have to say is: What's not to love about music at every mile marker (especially in a place with an amazing music scene), pre-race parties and post-race concerts, and endless entertainment for a weekend?!
I recently was given an entry to this Rock 'n' Roll race by my friends at Brooks Running, one of the big sponsors of the Rock 'n' Roll race series this year. I'm super excited to be able to pass along this entry so one lucky reader can have the opportunity to run this race!
The rules are simple: You'll get one entry into this contest for each comment you leave.
SIMPLE, I TELL YA!
1. Follow my blog, and let me know that you do. (1 entry)
Also, if you haven't entered my ZYM giveaway (man, I can't keep my head on straight with all these giveaways), do so soon! It ends on Wednesday and time is ticking away...

I followed you on twitter!
ReplyDeleteand tweeted about it!
ReplyDeleteI'd do the half - I'm training for a 6/18 marathon right now...
ReplyDeleteI follow you!
ReplyDeleteI'd run the full because my goal is to become a Marathon Maniac this year (also, I'm one of the RNR fans & I think they're a blast)!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteI'd run the half because Tennessee is a state I haven't raced in yet :D
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteI posted a link to this giveaway on my sidebar.
ReplyDeleteI would SO run the full! Why? Purely for the hell of it. I'm already doing two halves in April, and I think it would be fun to see if I could PR the marathon distance being undertrained (as compared to my only other marathon, when I was injured.)
ReplyDeleteIt would rock so hard if I won this. I'm going to Nashville that weekend anyway with my sister, and I'm planning on going and spectating at the race anyway. Since I'll already be there, I might as well run a marathon!
What a great giveawy. If we weren't already doing the OKC half marathon on May 1 - this would be a great race.
ReplyDeleteI follow (which, I didn't before - so I'm glad this reminded me)
ReplyDeleteJust twatted about it too ;)
ReplyDeleteI follow you on twitter too :)
ReplyDeleteI would choose the half just bc I don't think I'd be ready for the full :S
ReplyDeleteI follow!
ReplyDelete...and I would do the full. Even though I will have just finished one...might as well knock out another state.
ReplyDeleteYour are the nicest lil blogger ever.
ReplyDeleteI follow you, even with out a bribe.
I dont need to win this because if I did I would drag you here to.
I love FULLS I love FULLS I love FULLS right? I know I love halfs!
I just posted a link/announcement on my blog about your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have followed you and tweeted about the giveaway. But I just realized that I am running the OC marathon on May 1st, so I couldn't be in Newport and Nashville simultaneously. Though that would be kind of cool! It's an awesome giveaway though! I am jealous of the lucky one who will get it! If I could do it, I would do the half which is my favorite distance, challenging yet not life shattering.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa,
ReplyDeleteI can't run but would love to help promote your contest. Really wish that I were back in the Midwest (or is Tennessee considered "South") for the spring.
Hope all is well!
I just started following your blog!
ReplyDeleteAlso, if I won, I'd run the full marathon. I'd run it because it'd give me a chance to get to know the city my husband and I are moving to - on April 28th, 2 DAYS BEFORE THE MARATHON!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a Twitter account, but I just posted about your giveaway on my FB page - that should count as an entry, right? ;o)
ReplyDeletei'm so glad that i found out about this blog from my college friend kelly, above :) as another average runner, i'll definitely be following along!

ReplyDeletei'd run the full, b/c i definitely didn't do a 20-mile training run on sunday just for the fun of it! seriously, though, i'm looking forward to running this distance in my home town w/ friends & family cheering me on, and will be registering if i don't win.
ReplyDeleteand just for kicks, i posted my blog on facebook, as well as a link to yours ...
